What is idolatry?

When we look into our lives, do we ever think, “My life would never be the same without ______.” or “I cannot worship God unless ______.” If those statements end with something other than Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascended kingship, perhaps we love a created thing above the creator and redeemer. Jesus is King! Let nothing come in the way of worshipping him.
