On Christmas day we look to the one on which everything in our salvation hinges, Jesus. The gospel of John links Jesus to the beginning. Jesus is the same God present in the beginning and he is the one who is moving into the neighborhood.

In this 4th week of Advent, we turn to Revelation 21:1-5. This is a picture of a “greater Christmas” when the King on the throne makes his dwelling place with people. Heaven and earth will be restored and united together. God will truly be with us forever.

This week the kids of Princeton shared the story of the Three Trees by Angela Elwell Hunt Pastor Steve helped us reflect on that story and Ezekiel 36. God transforms our hearts through the Spirit when we encounter Jesus.

God continues the work of re-connecting with his people throughout the Old Testament. Today, we look to the promises God makes to David in 2 Samuel 7:1-17. God promises David that his son will hold the throne of an everlasting kingdom and will build a new temple. A promise which finds its ultimate fulfillment in King Jesus.

This is the first Sunday in Advent and we look to Genesis 3:1-9; 22-24. We come to learn how our relationship with God was disrupted through the planting of a seed, but we also come to know how a new seed restores that relationship.
