Worship Words

As part of our study of worship this year, we have focused on "worship words" as a framework in worship to pair relational words, such as "I love you" or "I'm sorry," with worship habits like praise and confession. These worship words remind us that worship is a conversation where God invites us to bring every part of ourselves to him and also to enjoy His full message to us. Just as our words form our habits in relationship with other people, the words of worship can form the habits of our relationship with God and the way we live out our faith. The Psalms offer a multitude of examples of these relational exchanges between God and his people. This year, we are taking one month for each set of worship words and pairing them with Psalms. Our monthly Newsletters also include readings and teachings on the theme for the month to help us learn and grow with each Worship Word.
