What to Expect

When should I arrive?

Our Sunday morning service starts at 9:30 a.m. If you are driving, it would be good to arrive about 9:15 a.m.  We have ample parking, with designated spaces near the main door for accessible parking, and we have a covered portico at the main door.  Our church is fully wheelchair accessible. Click here for directions.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever is comfortable for you.  You will find our congregation wearing anything from suits and dresses to informal clothes, including jeans and shorts.

The worship services

When you enter the sanctuary, our ushers will hand a bulletin to you and assist in locating a seat.  The bulletin has all the information that you need to participate in the service.  As a visitor you do not have to wear a visitor nametag, and you will not be asked to stand up and be recognized.

Our worship services are times of worship, celebration, praise, and proclamation.  We begin with a welcome by our pastor, Dave Poolman, and take a few moments to greet those sitting around you.  We will then do some singing, a mixture of modern and traditional songs, with music provided by the Princeton Praise Team (am only).  Pastor Dave then gives a message, speaking about things that are relevant and meaningful to our modern lives.

The entire worship service lasts about one hour, and afterwards you are invited for a time of coffee (am only) and conversation with other worshipers.

Our Vesper worship service at 5 pm takes a wide variety of formats, but generally follows a more traditional worship style.

For children

Infant and toddler nurseries are provided during the worship services.

During the morning worship service, prior to the pastor's message, children ages 2 ½ through preschool are welcome to meet with Little Lambs in one of our classrooms, where they will hear a special children's message.  You may walk with your child to the classroom.
Following the morning service we offer Sunday School for children.  Sunday School lasts about 40 minutes.

What about the rest of the week?

Sunday worship is just the start. We also offer many different activities during the week for families, singles, children, and adults.

Now that you know some of what Princeton has to offer, we hope you'll come and visit us soon!
