Congregational Retreat

We had a wonderful day of celebration, learning and fellowship at Camp Manitou Lin on Saturday, September 10. Here are some photos from the day...

We began the day with introductions and a time of worship.

Bob and Laura Keeley were our leaders for the day along with their daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Micah VanderHill

Together we memorized Psalm 133 - we learned motions to help us remember...

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!
It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard,

running down on Aaron's beard, down the collar of his robes.

It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.

For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore."

After lunch, some of our younger members presented a tableau on the Psalms.

We were blessed with a beautiful day and had the opportunity to enjoy the weather over lunch.

Many of us had a chance to participate in a variety of activities, including this one where a Psalm was divided between different readers.

We are so grateful to the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and the Lilly Endowment for providing the funding for this day. We also thank the camp, the Keeleys, and the many volunteers whose hard work made this day a success!
